There are new policies put into place regarding social distancing at popular markets. The following four markets will now have crowd-control measures to allow for consumers to buy necessities but at staggered intervals in order to reduce risk of transmission and contraction:

📍 Block 20 / 21 Marsiling Lane
📍 Block 505 Jurong West Street 52
How entry will be limited is that your ability to enter markets will be determined by the day of the month and your NRIC/FIN number:
If your NRIC ends with an even number (0, 2, 4, 6, 8), you are only allowed entry on even dates of the month.
If your NRIC ends with an odd number (1, 3, 5, 7, 9), you can only visit the markets on odd dates of the month.'
The above measures will help reduce the crowding and queues at these popular markets, especially on weekends. Similar access restrictions may be introduced in other wet markets, where crowding is observed.
Please do remember the following when trying to leave the house to go to a market!
Only visit the markets on the date you are allowed entry

Bring a photo ID which shows your NRIC/FIN number for verification at the markets
Go alone, not in groups
Wear a mask while outside at all times
Practice safe distancing by standing at least 1 metre apart from others
